My approach...

I am a NJ licensed clinical social worker. I received my Masters degree in Social Work (MSW) from Fordham University in 1993.

I provide individual therapy to adults. I have experience treating a variety of issues, including depression, substance abuse, anxiety, life transitions, and trauma. I am very interested in helping young adults navigate the transition to independence while dealing with issues of identity, sexuality, and relationships.

My therapeutic approach blends psychodynamic, humanistic and skills-based approaches. My style is active, relaxed and collaborative. Your initial goal may be to relieve symptoms of pain and distress, and decrease the frequency of self defeating behaviors. I will also help you gain insight into how your past, present and future are connected through your patterns of living in and relating to the world. Ideally, treatment will end, with increased joy, confidence, and a greater awareness of and appreciation for your self.
